New-home sales are off to a strong start at Telfair

The developer of Telfair, Newland Communities, reports that 179 new-homes have been sold during the first month of the pre-grand opening phase of Telfair. Telfair is Newland’s 2,018-acre master-planned community located at U.S. 59 South and University Blvd. in Sugar Land.

According to Travis Stone, senior vice president of operations for Newland Communities, “These strong sales are evidence of the incredible pent-up demand for new homes in Sugar Land and Telfair.”

With sales now underway in temporary sales centers, Newland Communities is working to complete the community’s information center, and home builders are constructing model homes, in time for the fall grand opening. Twenty-five model home will be located in a central mode home village, offering visitors the convenience of one-stop shopping.

Telfair home builders, include Beazer Homes, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Meritage Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Ryland Homes, Trendmaker Homes, Village Builders and Wilshire Homes.

The first phase of Telfair will feature home prices in range from the $250,000s to $500,000s and includes over 700 homesites in seven neighborhoods. Homesites in this phase range from 60 to 80 feet wide
